In 1950 it was selling for $50 a foot. Today, the value exceeds $80,000 per “front” foot. This is the amount of feet where the property is facing the ocean.

In March of 2002, voters approved a new library as well next to the Intracoastal Waterway. It is 10 times larger than the previous one and has a variety of features for patrons, in addition to vastly increased choices and variety.
